American Heart Association guidelines REQUIRE all students to have a 2020 American Heart Association BLS book for this course. Students can either purchase the book on their own (eBook or hard copy) or they may purchase one the day of the course.

This course is for anyone who is currently in the healthcare field or wanting to pursue a career in the healthcare setting. Although this course is designed for healthcare providers, anyone is welcome to take it.

Basic life support (BLS) training reinforces healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing CPR, choking relief, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

Upon registration students will receive an email of confirmation as well as instructions for the day of the course. Students can either pay during registration or pay day of scheduled class with a deposit that will be applied to cost of class due to spaces of availability.

This course follows the AHA’s regulations. Time allotted for this course is 4 hours however, depending on number of students the actual time may vary. Typically, the length of the class is 2-3hrs.

If you have purchased and completed the online AHA HeartCode BLS course and need your hands-on skill test, this is what you will need to register for.

The Fee for portion 2&3 includes the AHA Healthcare Provider card.

You must complete a hands-on session  to obtain a course completion card.
